Sandya is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling and Guidance. With a strong foundation in evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sandya brings a versatile and empathetic approach to her work.
She has significant experience working with children and young adults in both school and clinical settings, supporting a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns. Her areas of expertise include emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, school refusal, grief, trauma, social skills development, and issues related to self-esteem and identity formation.
In addition to her work with young people, Sandya has also supported adults through various life
challenges including relationship difficulties, career transitions, loss, and trauma recovery. Her ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds is grounded in her warm, intuitive, and person-centred style.
Sandya believes in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and empowered to explore, heal, and grow. Her sessions are guided by a deep respect for each individual’s lived experience, and a commitment to helping them align with their values and move toward a more meaningful life.
